KPV Lys-Pro-Val Tripeptide

KPV is a potent anti-inflammatory tripeptide derived from the C-terminal portion of α-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH). It consists of the amino acids Lysine-Proline-Valine and retains strong anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory properties while lacking the melanotropic (pigmenting) effects of full α-MSH.

Key Characteristics:

  • Sequence: Lys-Pro-Val (KPV)

  • Mechanism: Acts primarily through inhibition of NF-κB signaling and suppression of pro-inflammatory cytokines (TNF-α, IL-6, IL-1β)

  • Properties: Strong anti-inflammatory, wound-healing, and gut-protective effects with excellent tissue penetration

  • Stability: Highly stable and effective at very low concentrations

Research Applications:

  • Inflammatory bowel disease and gastrointestinal repair studies

  • Systemic and localized inflammation research

  • Wound healing and tissue regeneration models

  • Skin conditions and dermatological repair

  • Immune modulation and autoimmune response studies

  • Post-injury and post-surgical recovery research

KPV is particularly valued in laboratory research for its ability to deliver powerful anti-inflammatory effects with a favorable safety profile and minimal systemic side effects. It is often studied for both oral and injectable applications in regenerative and anti-inflammatory protocols.

For laboratory research use only. Not intended for human or veterinary use.
